How Can I Afford This?

Housing

Corps members live in houses/apartments together. You will not need to look for your own housing.

Monthly Stipend

You will receive a monthly stipend. With this stipend will be able to cover your necessary living expenses, such as rent and food. In addition, your rent will be partially subsidized by AVODAH.

Health Insurance

You will receive health insurance from your placement in order to be covered throughout your year in service.

Exit Stipend

All participants, regardless of citizenship, who complete their year with AVODAH will receive an exit stipend of $1000.

AmeriCorps Education Award

AVODAH is part of the AmeriCorps program. If eligible, you will receive an Education Award from AmeriCorps for $4,725. You can apply this award towards a college degree, graduate school, or for existing or future qualified loans. You must be an American citizen in order to qualify for the Education Award.
